Words, Words, Words.
Hannah won her first writing contest in 3rd grade, with a poem titled "The Terrible Tower of Terror." Hannah's writing has developed since then, though she's retained her for alliteration. In high school, she started to experiment with Slam and Spoken Word, winning the 2008 Cape Cod Teen Grand SLAM competition and the 2009 Cape Poetry and Chili Festival Slam. She was a state finalist in the national PoetryOutLoud Competition. She began to feature professionally at coffee houses, open mics, and on radio shows.
Hannah attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in English with a concentration in creative writing. During her time at Penn she wrote, performed and competed with The Excelano Project, a nationally recognized spoken word collective. She also wrote a short play called In Many Ways, performed in the 2013 Fringe Festival with iNtuitons Experimental Theatre.
Post-grad, she frequents open mics around town. She has written a lot more plays (Marbles, Bicycle Face, The Magnus Effect), which you can learn more about here. She is currently working on self-publishing a chapbook titled A Pinch of Pandora. For national women's day, she wrote Period Play: Eight Anachronisms for the Future Past as a commission for the Philadelphia Women's Theatre Festival.
